I am one of those rare North Carolina natives. Apex is my hometown, and it sure has changed in the past few decades.
My clinical training was completed at the University of West Georgia, one of the few programs that has a humanistic orientation to preparing counselors. I also completed a post-master’s add-on degree, an Ed.S. in Professional Counseling. In addition to this practice, my work experience includes facilitating therapy groups in hospital settings, university counseling, and academic counseling. I also hold a certificate in Integrative Health Studies from the University of West Georgia.
My best work tends to be with clients who are struggling with divorce, depression, trauma, or a major life transition. I also work well with clients who have experienced childhood abuse, loss, or who feel a nagging sense of meaninglessness. If any of these describes you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer free 20-30 minute consultations, by phone or in person, for you to determine if we are a good “fit.”
