Lauren Gardner, LPC, Ph.D.

My clinical training was completed at the University of West Georgia, one of the few programs that has a humanistic orientation to preparing counselors.  I also completed a post-master’s add-on degree, an Ed.S. in Professional Counseling.  In addition to this practice, my work experience includes facilitating therapy groups in hospital settings, university counseling, and academic counseling.  I also hold a certificate in Integrative Health Studies from the University of West Georgia.

From 2014-2019, I taught at North Carolina State University, where I completed my doctorate in Counselor Education.

My best work tends to be with clients who are struggling with depression, trauma, or a major life transition. I also work well with clients who have experienced childhood abuse, loss, or who feel a nagging sense of meaninglessness. If any of these describes you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer free 15-20 minute consultations, by phone.

I also particularly enjoy frolicking through forests.
